If the camera doesn't respond to this remote, please check:
1) You will need to set some cameras to remote trigger mode, so that it will respond. You might want to look into your camera user manual for details.
2) Point the IR remote to your mobile phone camera, when this remote triggers, you should be able to see the IR beam from the phone camera. Check and replace the camera batteries if there's no IR beam.
